It is with great sadness that I announce today that as of May 1, 2014, I am resigning as COPD Guide for About.com. I have had a wonderful experience here at About, and have met some incredible people. I will miss the advice I've received over the years from my brilliant colleagues, as well as the friendships I've made in the COPD Forum.
The COPD website was introduced to the World Wide Web on May 23, 2008. I started the site from ground zero and you, my loyal readers and Forum members, have supported me in growing the site to what it is today. Without your support, this site would not exist. I hope that you will continue to visit the site and welcome the new Guide - whoever he or she may be - when the time comes that they find my replacement.
I will leave you with my favorite poem by Robert Frost:
The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
